It’s been a while but we’re back with a new episode. I was commissioned by Red Bull to make a short for them. We show you an outtake of the production. The finished film is available to watch below. Also we tried to make lolcats worthy footage of Daniel’s cat Kali. However the cat wasn’t in the mood and it didn’t really work out so we went to do some karaoke at Monster Ronson’s Ichiban Karaoke in Friedrichshain. Daniel’s performance of Turning Japanese and Apeman is truly outstanding.

You may know the beautiful red town hall near Alexanderplatz. Well, as I was taking a few photos the other day for a future project I noticed something quite funny. first take a look at this photo:

Yes, it’s the Rotes Rathaus. Back at home though I looked at the full resolution and noticed the slogan above the entrance from the ‘be berlin‘ campaign. I find it really funny and so true. What better place to put it.

We spend a day at Treptow. Near Kreuzberg, this area has many attractions. Even though the weather is not that great we go to the Badeschiff where Daniel is having an open air swim. On monday nights they also show good movies there. Only a few meters away is a great flea market that we also have a quick look at. What would Berlin be without its many parks. In the park nearby stands an old watchtower from GDR times which is now the amongst other things an opera house.

Mayhem ensues when we visit the traditional food fight or Wasserschlacht at the Oberbaumbrücke which connects the two Berlin precincts Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. They both fight each other each year. Daniel really gave his best to bring a pacifist message to them but his message was unheard. Instead he got a taste of the rotten fruit they were throwing. What a day!

The mice escaped. Now what do we do? Maybe a day at the flea market at the Mauer Park helps. There we catch Sorry Gilberto playing a few songs. Also we receive an invitation to dance. Later we stop by at the Kulturbrauerei where all the little children that terrorize Prenzlauer Berg (aka Pregnancy Hill) are too much for us to take.

There’s trouble in mouse city. One particular mouse is terrorizing all the others. There are three male mice and one female. The evil mouse is of course a male one. It is constantly attacking and biting another male mouse. But not only that, I have a strong suspicion that it also raped the male mouse. I gathered some photographic evidence. Look for yourself.

There’s blood on its ass and also bite marks on its tail. So I tried to catch the troublemaker but it was resisting.

I tried to talk some sense into the little bastard but it didn’t help. A few days later the raped mouse was dead. It was half buried in the ground so it took a while before I found out. When I found the corpse I noticed that its head was missing. It must have been eaten by the killer mouse. I didn’t take any photos as the smell was too strong and also the sight was too disgusting even for me. I thought I should put the evil mouse into prison but then I realized that it already lives in a cage so I guess all is good.

I guess you all were wondering what’s up with the mice in my home. They are in for a real treat in this episode. As are you by the way. For our tenth episode we return to Kreuzberg where we witness the miracle of a turkish soccer victory. Those turks sure know how to party.

So there are mice at my home. But we love the new room mates. They’re very cute. Not so cute are some of the schlongs we encountered at our excursion to the Teufelssee in Grunewald. It’s notorious for nudist culture or FKK as it’s called in Germany. We had a nice day anyway.

I have a problem with rodents at my home. After my rodant rant we go to the traditional may riots that go on in Kreuzberg every first of may since more than 20 years now. We start at the MyFest where lots of bands play and then go right into the action when the riots finally begin. Poor Katie has not so much fun as we have.
